Indicator trend chart

Indicator trend chart allows to explore and analyze the trend of health indicators. Dynamically linked to the Core Health Indicators database, it permits to select a particular health indicator and see its trend over time for one or multiple countries of the Region of The Americas.

Tips to interact with this visualization:

  • Select an indicator using the list box Select Indicator at the to of the chart.
  • Check mark one or more countries from the right side list Select Country to display the indicator trend y/or compare trend on multiple couintries.

Ischemic heart diseases (IHD) is the first cause of death in the Region of the Americas.

In 2007, IHD caused:

  • 662,011 deaths, 13% of total deaths in the Americas
  • 255,586 deaths, 9.6% of total deaths in Latin America and the Caribbean
