Introduction to Population-based Cancer Registry & it application to Cancer Epidemiology, hosted by PAHO and the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC), is the second international course offered through the five-year collaboration between PAHO-IARC on Improving Cancer Information in Latin America and the Caribbean.
(Guayaquil, Ecuador, 12–16 April 2010)
Course Objectives: To introduce basic international concepts of the registry of population-based cancer data and establish a specialized course in Latin America to support cancer or NCD programs and the cancer registries of the Region in the production, processing and analysis of data on cancer, in collaboration with IARC and PAHO.

Course Audience: The course is for professionals who occupy positions at the level of Director of cancer programs or cancer registries.
