As a service to policymakers, EVIPNet teams, health professionals and to community workers in the health system, we continuously evaluate the available information on Evidence and select and present the ones we consider more relevant. Resources will also be useful also for those professionals that belong to the health system with an interest in evidence informed policies and knowledge translation.

A unique source of reliable and up-to-date information on the effects of interventions in health care. Health care in the 21st century relies not only on individual medical skills, but also on the best information on the effectiveness of each intervention being accessible to practitioners, patients and policy makers.

There is an ever growing evidence base relating to the effectiveness and cost-effectiveness of health care interventions, but for clinicians and decision-makers this literature can be difficult and time consuming to identify and appraise. These these databases provide access to: 21,000 systematic reviews, 11,000 economic evaluations. 10,000 health technology assessments.

Research Matters Knowledge Translation Toolkit
The Rx for Change database:
Summarizes current research evidence about the effects of strategies to improve drug prescribing practice and drug use. This database houses summaries of key findings from systematic reviews that evaluate the effects of strategies targeting professionals, the organization of health care, and consumers. Initially published on-line in April 2007 and updated in April 2009 and October 2009. For information about the methods, see Methods for Development.
