This document presents information on child and infant mortality of indigenous and afro poulations in Latin America. The document was the result of data from 13 countries' census with information dissagregated by ethnic condition.

This document was developed in the framework of the Agreement of collaboration between the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) and the Economic Commission for Latin America (ECLA), through the CELADE-Populations Division, and the Work Plan 2009 CEPAL/CELADE-UNFPA.
