Integral part of the Cochrane Collaboration an international not-for-profit organization, providing up-to-date information about the effectiveness of health care interventions.
The Red Cochrane Iberoamericana trains people to use and produce research evidence summaries, conduct research evidence searches, and appraise scientific papers. They do this efficiently with a global and well coordinated network across the region. They deliver their support in the four languages of the region and are excellent at developing methodological work.

This award aims to promote research on healthy lifestyles as a means of preventing noncommunicable diseases and will be awarded to a systematic review and protocol that answer questions about prevention of chronic noncommunicable diseases that are relevant to the Americas. Cochrane Colloquium: The 19th Cochrane Colloquium, themed “Scientific Evidence for Health Care Quality and Patient Safety,” witnessed a strong, Latin American presence in Madrid. From the invitation to Dr. Roses to be a panelist
