Technical assessment of compliance with established requirements

During the technical assessment of drugs, including biological-biotechnological products, there is multidisciplinary participation by professionals from the Procurement and Supply Management, Immunization and Essential Medicines and Health Technologies areas, which reach a consensus on the acceptability of these products, based primarily on their meeting existing standards and the technical specifications mentioned above.

PAHO establishes written procedures describing how the technical assessment of the biological-biotechnological products to be procured through the PAHO Strategic Fund is carried out, much the same as any quality assurance system. These procedures are for the exclusive use of the Organization.
