On 22 September, 2009, the "Dialogue about the health of Afro Central Americans" took place. This meeting was held by the Black Central American Organization  (ONECA) and PAHO, and aimed to generate recommendations for the technical cooperation of PAHO with a cross-cutting approach that promotes the ethnic and ratial equity in Central America.
