The information is obtained from official websites of the Ministries of Health of the countries of the Americas and information submitted by the International Health Regulations (IHR) National Focal Points Summary of the current situationAs of 3 July 2009, a total of 65,925 confirmed cases of the pandemic H1N1 2009, including 387 deaths, have been notified in 29 countries of the Americas. The following overseas territories have confirmed cases of pandemic H1N1 2009: Puerto Rico, U.S. Overseas Territory (18); Virgin Islands, U.S. Overseas Territory (1); Bermuda, UK Overseas Territory (1); Cayman Islands, UK Overseas Territory (14); British Virgin Islands, UK Overseas Territory (2); Martinique, French Overseas Community (2); Netherlands Antilles, Curaçao: (8)a; Netherlands Antilles, Aruba (5); and Netherlands Antilles, St. Maarten (7). WHO is not recommending any travel restrictions related to the pandemic H1N1 2009.
