This file contains the Know Your Status Initiative kit. The Know Your Status Initiative proposes a series of actions and tools aimed at increasing the public’s demand for HIV testing and counseling services. This initiative complements PAHO/WHO’s activities to support the countries’ efforts to strengthen and expand HIV testing and counseling services, within the broader context of the goal of universal access to comprehensive prevention, care, and treatment services. The Know Your Status Initiative aims at creating an environment that enables people to make informed decisions about the importance of learning one own’s serological status, while at the same time encouraging the use of health services that offer HIV testing and counseling.
