Washington, D.C. (PAHO) – Experts from around the globe are meeting this week to decide on a crucial question: Is the global eradication of measles feasible?

WASHINGTON, D.C. (PAHO) – On July 23rd, 2010, the Oral Health of Haiti (OHOH) Coalition, spearheaded by the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO), sent a shipment of donated dental supplies to public clinics providing dental services in Haiti.

A human rights-based approach to mitigating the extent and effects of the AIDS epidemic, and promoting universal access to HIV services is critical. Although there has been notable progress in many areas, punitive laws, policies, practices, stigma and discrimination continue to undermine the achievement of universal access targets including access to prevention for those who need it and the MDGs related to the right to health.

The Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) is partnering with the EQUATOR Network to improve reporting on research for health in the Americas through the use of guidelines that promote greater accuracy and transparency. The guidelines will help make study results fit for publication and practical use.
