Despite improvements in women’s level of schooling, increasing access to
paid employment, growing use of contraceptive methods, and reductions
in fertility, in 2008, 33% of all births in Paraguay were unplanned,
according to a study published in the latest issue of the Pan American
Journal of Public Health.
