Because of the cholera emergency, PROMESS has simplified to the maximum extent possible the steps to get medical supplies. The required steps are:

  1. One single office to visit to the Ministry of Public Health (in case you're not registered in the country):

    Dr Claude Surena
    Health Coordinator, MSPP
Rue Butte N# 7  Bourdon, Port au Prince, Haiti
    Tel : +509-3701-7077
Assistant (Ms Margaret Baudin) : +509-3491-8955

    NGO's will need to bring:
    • Photocopy of ID of the country director or person responsible for coordination of the organization.
    • Legal recognition document from the country of origin.
    • NGO Status.
    • Project work plan (a one-page summary of activities and operations)

Dr Surena will give you the same day a temporary authorization to operate in the country.

  2. Bring the authorization to PROMESS, as well as the order form. (PROMESS is not obliged to fulfill the order.) All cholera products are distributed free of charge.
