Health Ministers of the Union of South American Nations (UNASUR) are coordinating mechanisms to help Haiti in the outbreak of cholera that has so far killed nearly 200 people. A statement from the Health Ministry of Ecuador David Chiriboga, who holds the rotating presidency of the regional body, said that all member states are seeking to implement a strategy to help the Haitian government. He added that to face the health crisis in Haiti the Ecuadorian government will deliver humanitarian aid such as drinking water, oral rehydration salts, antibiotics, chlorine, gloves, and personal toilet products, among others. Il a ajouté que pour faire face à la crise sanitaire en Haïti, le gouvernement équatorien acheminer l'aide humanitaire telles que l'eau potable, des sels de réhydratation orale, les antibiotiques, de chlore, des gants et des produits de toilette personnels, entre autres.
