PAHO/WHO Guyana Country Office Receives Award for Excellence in Partnership

The Berbice Regional Health Authority (BRHA), in collaboration with the Guyana Telephone and Telegraph Company, presented awards to several health workers and agencies/organizations for their outstanding support during 2011 at the 9th Annual Award Ceremony held by the BRHA. 

 The Pan American Health Organization/ World Health Organization (PAHO/WHO) received the “Excellence in Partnership Award” for its “continuous support, especially in the areas of Training and Leadership” at the award ceremony on Saturday 28 January 2012. Dr. Barnett received the award on behalf of PAHO which was delivered by the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Guyana Telephone and Telegraph Company, Mr. Yog Mahadeo. Mr. Yog Mahadeo praised all the awardees for their excellent work done in support of the health sector.  Dr. Javier Uribe, Advisor, Health Systems and Services received a certificate for his technical cooperation with the BRHA.
