Recognizing the best journalism on the U.S.-Mexico border |

ABOUT THE CALL The purpose of the call is to recognize the best journalism that has helped to emphasize the core values, welfare, quality of life and development of the border community, as well as focus on the common realities that are happening on the region. The works in journalism may be in Spanish or English, must be submitted before August 17, 2012, and must have been published or broadcasted between May 1, 2011 and May 3, 2012. The awards presentation will take place in September, 2012 during an awards ceremony. The categories for participation are: print media, radio, television and electronic media. WHO CAN PARTICIPATE Individuals or teams who can participate in the four different categories: independent journalists and journalists from local media who have contributed to TV channels, newspapers, online newspapers, blogs, radio and media within the universities. The best journalistic works in each category will be notified during the month of August 2012 and authors will be invited to a special awards ceremony.
