PROJECT 6: KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT AND SHARING 


Goal Description:

To increase and improve the quality of healthy life years and to reduce the health disparities in the U.S.-Mexico Border Area, in accordance with the Healthy Border 2010 Agenda.

 

Purpose Description:  

To facilitate the production, diffusion and sharing of knowledge and evidence-based scientific-technical information on public health.

Objectives

6.1 Promote the formulation of scientific and evidence based public health policies.

 

The EVIPNet network, functioning and promoting strong partnerships and synergy between key research organizations

 

Number of systematic reviews based on scientific evidence

Number of training events on leadership and management, including capacity to analyze information and lessons learned

6.2 Facilitate the access and dissemination of technical-scientific knowledge & information in public health.

 

The BVHL Advisory Committee adheres to the MOU, with participation of relevant stakeholders

 

Number of bilingual (Spanish-English) pages available on the PAHO USMBO Web site.

 

Number of information products (Journal articles, monographs, CDs, brochures) published and disseminated per biennium.

 

Number of Communities of Practice using synchronous and asynchronous technologies for technical areas and administrative units designed, implemented, and supported

 

Content, information processing, and utilization data available for Lessons Learned and Staff Travel and Consultant Report System.
