The program on Sustainable Development and Health was established to offer technical cooperation to health and environmental health sectors.  To support this program the Office of Eastern Caribbean Countries maintains essential expertise in environmental health matters and has access to resources from PAHO Headquarters and WHO.  The following areas are covered under this program:

• solid and liquid waster management
• housing sanitation
• drinking and recreational water quality
• air pollution control
• vector and pest control
• occupational health and safety
• water sanitation and emergency response
