PAHO consultation 7 May: a number of CARICOM Health Ministers were joined by other stakeholders in PAHO’s consultation on its subregionalco-operation strategy (SCS). The Subregional Strategy will define the strategic technical areas that PAHO will support in the medium term 2010 – 2015 and will facilitate PAHO’s work to respond better to Caribbean sub-regional frameworks and initiatives including CARPHA.

Under the thematic area of strategies for Promotion and Dissemination, the Institute features the organization of regional nutrition competitions. The Three-fold objectives are "To Improve the Image of Food and Nutrition in the Region" To Promote Healthy Lifestyles among Students and Community" "To Help Students in Preparation for Local and External Examinations in Food and Nutrition"
