PAHO mental health consultants visited the Valparaíso and Bío Bío regions in Chile

Concepción, Chile, 16 June 2010. The Pan American Health Organization (PAHO/WHO) Subregional Advisors on Mental Health, Hugo Cohen and Víctor Aparicio, together with the Regional Advisor on Disabilities and Rehabilitation, Armando Vásquez, and a delegation from the Ministry of Health of Chile, held a meeting with local authorities from Valparaíso and Bío Bío. The purpose of this international consulting mission was to guide and help readapt the structure of the psychiatric and mental health care network in both Chilean regions.
