As an international initiative promoting healthy lifestyles and healthy settings, Wellness Week happens around the world, particularly throughout the region of the Americas.
Many countries countries have committed to supporting Wellness Week and the United Nations High-Level Meeting on Non-Communicable Diseases, which are held in New York City in September 2011, by holding their own Wellness Week events and activities to enable healthy choices among local publics.
