Dr. Elsa Moreno, renowned Argentine public health expert and world expert in the area of maternal and child health, recounts her life’s history and work in public health. Among other aspects, she recalls the health plan in Neuquén, Argentina, which received national and international recognition.She also explains her work as consultant and director of the Maternal and Child Health program for the Pan American Health Organization/World Health Organization (PAHO/WHO) from 1976 to 1989. At the age of 83, she believes that work needs to continue at the primary health care level to reach people where they live.
