Canal Futura, in partnership with PAHO, receives two PROMAX BDA 2010 Latin America awards in the public service announcement campaign category

Canal Futura, in partnership with PAHO’s Multimedia’s Knowledge Management and Communication team, won two PROMAX BDA 2010 Latin America bronze awards in the Public Service Announcement Campaign category for the series “WHAT WILL YOU DO WITH WHAT YOU KNOW?”

The Pan American Health Organization / World Health Organization (PAHO) and Brazilian TV channel FUTURA  partnered to produce a series of Public Service Announcements (PSAs) created by 10 Brazilian artists under the commmon theme “What Do You Do With What You Know?” (O que você faz com o que você sabe?)

The series features 10 30-second spots which addresses themes such as food safety, climate change, pesticides, among others.

In order to draw attention to urgent public health issues, mobilizing people and communities around these causes, the curator and artist Fernando Cocchiarale, along with Canal Futura and the Pan American Health Organization/World Health Organization (PAHO/WHO) invited 10 Brazilian artists to express their artistic insights in these TV spots that are aired during commercial breaks, in Canal Futura and other international media.
