With the goal of analyzing socioeconomic implications, lessons learned, and successful strategies to achieve the goal of containing antimicrobial resistance, health authorities of PAHO Member States debated the issue at roundtables.

The trends in and degree of antimicrobial resistance in the region
Towards a multifaceted approach to contain resistance to antimicrobials
The contributions of the countries will be reflected in a report to be submitted to the 51st Directing Council
