PAHO Director Calls on Countries to Give their Views and Comments on WHO Reform

After summarizing the main themes of the WHO reform, Dr. Mirta Roses, PAHO Director, invited Member States to comment on the agenda and the reform process, to provide guidance on key issues raised in the conceptual documents of the WHO reform, and to make contributions deemed necessary for the Special Session of the Executive Committee that will meet in November this year. Franklin Vergara, unanimously elected to chair the 51st Directing Council of the Pan American Health Organization, inaugurated the sessions of the meeting that brings together health ministers from the Americas to discuss the health situation in the region.
